This years theme trip was based on the Jungle! Years 10, 11 & 12 from Ochil visited Action Glen for some survival and team-building skills. On arrival we split into five teams and went off to do five different activities.
The first on our list was how to light a successful fire using things like a flint stick and cotton wool…best built fire=most smoke produced! Next we built a shelter that was supposed to be water and wind proof. After that we proceeded down the hill to a chap called Adam who encouraged us to eat mealworms, crickets, locusts, pignut bulbs, one leaf of a wood sorrel, stinging nettles and marshmallows. We then went to do first aid and had to rescue two guys called Phil and George. Finally we whittled wood into a spoon or a spatula.
A big thank you to Mrs Thornton, Miss Young, Mr Docherty, Mrs McLean, Craig and Libby Michel, Daniel Wilkin and Braden Cook for their help!
