On 10th December 2015 it is International Human Rights Day.  To show our solidarity and support of human rights worldwide, we are participating in the Write for Rights campaign which is set up by the charitable organisation Amnesty International.

On the 11th and 14th December, we will be running Write for Rights workshops at lunchtimes to offer students the opportunity to write solidarity cards to people who are imprisoned and ill-treated by oppressive governments and areas of conflict, such as Syria, Burma and Saudi Arabia.

This means that we will need about 100 cards to write our messages of hope!  If you have any blank cards or notelets with envelopes which you are willing to donate, we would be extremely grateful.  Handmade cards are also very welcome!

This will give us the opportunity to offer hope, support and encouragement to oppressed people and their families.

Please send any cards or notelets to school by 7th December marked for the attention of Year 13.
